What is Artichoke?
The artichoke is a large
thistle-like herb. The artichoke is native to the
Mediterranean areas of Europe. Its leaves are green in color
while the heart or core is a whitish green color. Both the
heart and leaves are edible. Their is no universal favorite
part of the artichoke.

Benefits
The Artichoke is a low-calorie,
nutrient-rich vegetable. One medium Artichoke is an
excellent source of fiber and vitamin C, and a good source
of folate and magnesium. Artichokes also are a great source
of powerful disease-fighting antioxidants.
Artichoke lower blood
cholesterol levels, it protects against negative effects of
alcohol, improves digestion symptoms as abdominal pain,
nausea and constipation.
